Would you tell us about MAS Turkey's mission? MAS Turkey's mission is to serve in the rapidly growing real estate sector. Especially in the field of marketing and sales, MAS Turkey is willing to serve with his innovative, different, and customer-focused perspective.
As you know, in our country there are lots of real estate developer companies. Due to several problems in the construction project like lack of planning, market research, the sector is narrowed down. When the internal and external economical and political developments are added on, the shrinkage in the sector is continuing.
In our opinion, the only way of getting out of this chasm is bringing total professionalism in the real estate sector. In this sector, there are some qualified firms that give counseling about project analysis, market research and determining the requirements for a project but marketing and sales are still realized by the manufacturer firms or real estate firms and they are also far away from professionalism. In this context, MAS Turkey is aiming to fill this gap in the sector with its professionalism. Could you explain us MAS Turkey's training and career plans?
First of all, we shaped the organizational structure of the company according to our targets. Then, we set job descriptions that are compatible with our goals and structure and we realized our hiring. Hereafter, we designate our imperfections and make our training scheme in accordance with our short and long term objectives. We know that this is a never ending process. So, this process will permanently continue with our renovated and rising targets in accordance with the demands of our departments and our evaluation system.
As for the employees' career planning, we provide them with goals and road maps that could bring out and/or develop their talents. To accomplish this task, we formed a system providing all the necessary trainings and help to the staff.
All of our employees' are well aware that there is always a chance to move forward in terms of career and goal because they know that our whole system is based on this fact. Do you plan to collaborate with a project in Turkey? One of the main targets of MAS Turkey is to realize such kind of collaboration and/or collaborations. As the Turkey branch of MAS International, we feel the power and professionalism of the group that we belong to. As the Turkey branch, we want to make a solid start and we are following this path.
As you know, we started our activities by selling real estate projects outside of Turkey. Nowadays, we are preparing plans to sell different projects from countries where MAS International operates, and I believe that we will be able to start very soon.
As I mentioned before, due to our organizational structure we are more than a sales company. We could also provide consulting in marketing and customer services to the developer firms.
Moreover, due to our international nature, we have the potential of selling local projects to the countries where MAS International operates and vice versa.
After establishing the above mentioned system, we will start searching for the new opportunities in the real estate sector. As a result, the goals in MAS Turkey will never ends.Could you make an evaluation regarding the real estate sector in Turkey and your company? The real estate sector is growing very quickly both in terms of volume and production. However, this growth is quite blind and unplanned like many other sectors in Turkey. This situation leads to several obstructions for this fast development. The importance of issues likes; urban transformation, supply and demand equilibrium, environment, transportation, infrastructure, and customer needs are disregarded.
Hence, I believe that the player in the sector must come together to develop long term plans for the sector and work on the flaws of the sector in order to be able to breathe a new life to the real estate sector.
Our company entered the sector by providing several different services. The main ones are; sales, marketing, and marketing services. These three main services are also backed by other supporting units. We are constantly monitoring the real estate sector both locally and internationally. Right know, as MAS Turkey we are filling some part of the above mentioned gap but in the long run we are very ambitious in filling this gap as a whole.
We are also very advantageous to be a part of an international structure that operates both in real estate and in several other non-related sectors.What kind of works did you do to position MAS Turkey? First of all, I have to say that we tried to build a company that keeps the same distance with all parts of society, and that brings benefits to all of them at the same. I believe that we accomplished task both in terms of our human resources and in other works that we done so far.
As a company we are trying to reach our higher goal for the future by walking in solid steps. We are watching our sector, our country, and the world very closely.
While doing that we are trying to be transparent as much as possible to both insiders and outsiders. These efforts provide us honesty, respect, and self-confidence.
One of our main principles is to fulfill our promises; we never want to be a part of something that we lack faith on it. By this way, we are keeping our honesty and integrity because both local and international customers are very important for us.What are your criterions in hiring new people? What is the contribution of Metropol Human Resources in this process? I can easily say that human resources are our main priority. We are willing to work with individuals who understand our goal, open to learn and who appreciate learning as a never ending process. At the same time, we are also looking for well educated and experienced people to work with. The biggest contribution of Metropol is their insight of our requirements and their immaculate fulfillment. We told them what kind of company we are, what is our goals and our organizational structure and what kind of people we want to work with. They really understood what we are looking for and they helped us to build an excellent team with almost zero turn over.
We got their supports not only for recruitment, but also for training, career planning, organization and other human resources process from Metropol Human Resources. Metropol actually made a big contribution to MAS Turkey's structure.Could mention about MAS Turkey's future plans and your development plans? As I mentioned before, our first aim is to make MAS Turkey an important player both in real estate sales and marketing and other fields in sector as well.
The other aim is to carry MAS International brand to Europe via MAS Turkey. We know that this will be quite long and tiring but at the end this will lead to a good future.What would you recommend to new graduates who will have a career in real estate sector? One should believe in real estate sector and love it before he/she makes a start. This is true for all sectors. If one wants to enter this sector due to present status of sector, he/she makes a mistake. He/She should think in long term.
They should have long term aims. But firstly, they should start with short term aims to achieve long term aims. Good planning and aiming are first step, and then patience and practice complete the process.
They may face with difficulties in this sector but this should not demoralize them. They could achieve their aims by always looking forward and by continuously refreshing themselves.
